Latest Project- 4 ginormous animals!
I was asked to do this amazing and challenging project, 4 humungous stuffed animals. An Elephant, a Panda, a Horse and a Lion
Each is in Progress or finished. I even completely remade the panda and the lion!
The Elephant
The first lion: (tiny compared to order size)
New lion in progress compared to size of little lion:
Original panda-totally fixing body size, too big for head. And the whole thing is too small for the order, so I am remaking a whole new panda. Pictures may come when I have more progress on it.
It's a horse! (sort of, after I stuffed it I did a ton of cutting to fix the size of the body and nose to not look quite as odd.):
Finished horse:

Examples of Animals:
Everytime I sew a stuffed animal, an object, a wallhanging, a quilt, a skirt or dress; it is a new experience. A challenge I set myself to see if I am capable of pulling it off. All of my art is down directly by hand, no machine sewing. Most of it is created by 'eyeballing', as it was recently phrased, I glance at a few pictures of what I want to make on Google or Pinterest, maybe do a simple pencil sketch (I am not a drawer, this is a minor aid in getting the general idea), and start cutting out the pieces. Every once in a while I will glance at patterns, especially for clothes! Then I will make it my own or try my hand at making a replica just for fun. I am a huge fan of cutting into my work, resweing, reshaping, starting over multiple times. The whole process is my work. This is how I find joy in it. By continuously trying to make it all work out the way I imagine.
Alright, let the pictures speak louder than my words, here are a few examples of what I have made ^_^. :
(Wow! I look so young in these! I got my braces off a long time ago. The corvette and fox are my most recent creations, the rest are in a very random order.)

Elephant pictures!- Yes I am Fianlly Posting These
A few guys at work have asked to see pictures of my elephants I have made. I promised a few days ago.. and did not exactly keep that promise right away. Sorry! When I come home from work getting on the computer is not the first thing I think of to do. Normally I come home to immediately eat, read, sew or sleep, haha.
The process of making the big one, bigger than a human baby, the ears are pockets and fit mini elephants stuffed with peas inside!: (sorry the order is weird, it wouldn't let me organize them in order of relevance/steps.)
I also made another elephant, this one is a little smaller, and was actually made first:
I was asked if I could make a 'masculine elephant, well I am certainly willing to try! These two were made out of black and pink velvet material, but those are not the only options. Thanks for reading! ^_^
